Overview

The EN1262HT high traffic motion detector solves the battery limitation problems of motion sensors in commercial applications through an intelligent sleep timer and low current technology. It features a pet immune PIR detection element, and wall and housing tamper switches.

PalCare Registration and Learn-In Process

The Motion Detector must be registered with PalCare in order to be monitored and supervised.  Each Motion Detector has a unique factory-programmed identification number/serial number.  
  1. Log into PalCare via your web browser as Administrator.
  2. Click Wizard
  3. Click Update Location Devices
  4. Select the location you would like to assign the Motion Detector to
  5. Click Add New Device
  6. Click Ready
  7. Insert the batteries into the Motion Detector before the timer expires
  8. Verify the captured serial number in PalCare matches the serial number sticker on the device
  9. Click OK, Assign Device
  10. Select Motion Detector for the Device Use
  11. Select a Location Area if needed, otherwise leave blank
  12. Click Finish
The Motion Detector is now learned in via PalCare.

Installation and Startup

Installation Notes

      • These products are designed to be maintained by professional security technicians.
      • Products are tested for indoor use.
      • All products should be manually tested weekly.

Mount the Housing and Install the Battery

      1. Loosen the captive housing screw.
      2. Open the housing.
      
      3. Remove the EN1262HT from the mounting bracket per Figure 2.
      
      4. Noting the detection coverage in Figure 3, determine mounting location.
            • Avoid areas facing direct sunlight, areas that may change temperature rapidly, and areas where there are air ducts or substantial airflows.
            • The recommended mounting height is 6.5 feet to 7.5 feet (2.1 to 2.3 m).
      
      5. Use the included mounting screws to mount the EN1262HT.
            • To mount on the wall, see Figure 4.
            • To mount in a corner, see Figure 5.
      
      
      6. Install the battery per Figure 6.
